When it comes to spreading Christmas/holiday cheer, which greeting should you use? Should you opt for the broader and more socially acceptable “happy holidays,” or should you stick with the more traditional but somewhat controversial “Merry Christmas?”
In our humble opinion, you should do whichever you want—either, neither, or both. Both expressions are meant to convey a holiday spirit of gratitude and cheer. It should not just be a trite expression, should never be meant to offend, and should be accompanied with genuine acts of kindness and charity. But that’s just our opinion. What’s yours?
