H&P Law’s Majorie Hauf wins “Trial Lawyer of the Year” at the Nevada Justice Association’s 2024 Summer Gala Awards. The event, held on June 21, recognized lawyers, legislators, and judges who have championed the cause of protecting Nevada consumers from disreputable companies, reckless individuals, and unscrupulous insurance companies.
This prestigious award recognizes Hauf’s unwavering dedication to her clients and the legal profession in pursuit of justice and her work in the legal community.
Hauf has built a distinguished career as a trial lawyer in Nevada. Since her admission to the bar in 2002, she has consistently championed her clients’ rights in the courtroom. Her unwavering commitment to the legal system and its role in protecting citizens is widely admired by her colleagues and peers.
“Trial Lawyer of the Year” is more than just a win-loss record, although Hauf boasts a successful track record of securing significant verdicts for her clients. The award acknowledges her dedicated support for those facing seemingly overwhelming odds and insurmountable legal challenges.
Hauf understands the immense pressure clients experience within the legal system, and she serves as a tenacious advocate, empowering her clients and refusing to yield to powerful entities or insurance companies.
Marjorie Hauf’s Work as a Personal Injury Lawyer
Prior to embarking on her successful legal career, Marjorie honed her business acumen in the Las Vegas hospitality industry, working in roles such as Assistant Hotel Manager at the Sahara and risk management representative at the Mirage.
This experience allowed her to develop a keen understanding of risk assessment, experience with insurance claims, negotiation of settlements, and training in outstanding client service. She later translated all these valuable skills seamlessly into her work in trial law and represented her clients from a knowledgeable perspective.
Finding a strong desire to make a more profound impact in her community, Hauf decided to pursue law, enrolling in the inaugural class at the William S. Boyd School of Law. She graduated with honors in 2002 and received the CALI Award for Law Practice Management. After graduating and passing the bar, she began working at a prominent personal injury firm, where her dedication and passion for advocating for the injured was evident from the start.
Hauf’s experience spans a wide range of legal issues, from civil rights to bad faith insurance claims. Driven by her fierce dedication to justice, Marjorie Hauf has spent her career empowering clients to hold negligent parties accountable, from giant corporations to corrupt insurance companies.
She now represents some of the most difficult cases that H&P Law receives, relishing the fight of holding wrongdoers accountable, no matter the odds stacked against her client’s case.
Founding Member of H&P Law
Hauf’s journey continued with her founding the personal injury firm Ganz & Hauf in 2006, which secured tens of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts for their clients. In 2020, Ganz & Hauf merged with Matt Pfau Law Group to form H&P Law, solidifying a combined force for serving the injured in Las Vegas and the surrounding areas.
H&P Law is built on the ethos of justice, accountability, and unwavering advocacy for our clients, combining courtroom excellence and dedication to our clients in personal injury and liability law.
Beyond the Courtroom
Hauf is a vocal advocate for diversity within the legal profession, mentoring aspiring lawyers and actively contributing to the community through organizations like the Children’s Attorney Project.
She excels in far more than just courtroom trials, being a wife, mother, law firm owner, and recognized authority in her field. Having once taught as an adjunct professor, she now spends time educating other lawyers through various outlets.
“I am proud to know Marjorie and am always looking to learn from her,” said Christian Morris, board member of the Nevada Justice Association. “I have seen her pushing forward past all the barriers created by the system, the defense, and every other challenge that stands in her way. Marjorie is a warrior for Justice, a staple at the courthouse, and just doesn’t stop.”
Hauf’s tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment to justice are perfectly captured by her “can’t stop, won’t stop” attitude. This award serves as a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to her clients, the legal profession, and the citizens of Nevada.
