Course Features
Students enrolled in the Legal Assistant Institute Program will have the opportunity to participate in the following classes:
- Two Core Courses, including Practicum (real-world legal tasks) and The Law (torts, contracts, and family law)
- Practical Skills Training, where students will learn how to draft demand letters, manage case files, and prepare legal motions
- Career Preparation Programs, which encourage students to improve their writing and legal research skills, as well as their ability to provide support in litigation
Program Details
The Legal Assistant Institute Program lasts 15 weeks, with participants spending 90 hours benefiting from classroom instruction. Students will attend weekly classes of three hours with opportunities for independent study.
The Legal Assistant Institute Program requires all participants to have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Students must also have a basic understanding of modern computer skills and have strong communication skills.
